Rechtsgeschichte (Rg) / Legal History 28
Zeitschrift des Max-Planck-Instituts für europäische Rechtsgeschichte
The essays in the research section of Rg 28 deal with topics that have for decades served as a focus of attention of legal historians in Germany: Differences of opinion between Germanists and Romance scholars (Tamar Herzog); late antique, Frankish and canonical legal literature (Christoph Meyer); legal documents in medieval and early modern German town laws (Thomas Pierson); 18th century Austrian public law (Martin Schennach). Further contributions to this volume deal with banking and commercial law since early modern times as well as the work of one of the most prominent German legal historians of the 20th century, Knut Wolfgang Nörr. As usual, the critique section brings together numerous reviews from all epochs and regions of legal history.
